ABOUT US

Nuru in Swahili means light—not only physical light, but also spiritual and symbolic light.
A journey with Nuru Africa is a journey that spreads light in many ways. It shines a light on nature, as part of your travel contribution goes directly to park fees that help protect wildlife and preserve Africa's incredible natural heritage.
It shines a light on local communities, supporting livelihoods and creating meaningful connections with the people who call this land home.
And most importantly, it brings light into your own life — because a trip with Nuru is more than a journey: it is a transformative experience capable of leaving a lasting mark.
In recent years, Africa has seen a significant surge in tourism, with the arrival of many new operators who do not always possess a deep knowledge of the terrain or the delicate balance that governs wildlife. We instead promote a profound and respectful understanding of Africa.
Our guides boast years of field experience: they know the environment perfectly and possess the skill and sensitivity to locate animals while always ensuring the utmost respect for wildlife and ecosystems.
It is precisely this expertise that allows us to avoid crowded areas whenever possible and to follow off-the-beaten-path routes. This provides extraordinary experiences in a more intimate and authentic context.

My love for Tanzania began in 2013, when I first arrived for a volunteering experience. Between 2016 and 2018, I lived in the country continuously—a period that allowed me to gain a deep understanding of the land and to travel across its various regions.
After returning to London in 2018, I launched my career in the tourism sector. Following eight years as a travel consultant for several British tour operators — managing not only Tanzania but numerous other destinations worldwide — I chose to become an independent Travel Designer, leveraging a solid and diverse foundation of experience in the travel industry.
I have visited 87 countries, and every year I spend at least a month in Tanzania to ensure a direct, authentic, and constantly updated knowledge of the destination.
